Speeds for Elvington, Mon 14th April 2025
TOP SPEED MONDAY
There was a good turnout of competitors for the 2nd Top Speed Monday unfortunately a strong side wind hampered some riders.
Quickest on the day was Guy Martin getting more seat time on the Hayabusa running in naked trim with the radically different front end arrangement. His best a 235.1mph at mile and 233.629mph 1.25mile.
2nd quickest was Tony Harper, turbo ZZR1400 on 207.879mph mile and 208.690mph 1.25mile.
There were 2 others cracking the 200mph mark, Richard Kendall at 202.899mph mile and 202.861mph at 1.25mile.
Nic Deighton, first timer, gradually built up speed and eventually went 200.071mph.
Kieran Jackson and Paul Cleall, usually seen at MELBOURNE RACEWAY were along for the first time on Runway 26, Kieran disappointed not to crack 180mph.
Amy Wolstenholme was along on yet another bike, a GSXR1000, managing 170.114mph for another new personal best.
Wheelie riders Steve Warner, Dodge and Damion Hirst were thwarted by the strong side wind.
Fastest of the cars was Stephen Cook, Jaguar F Type, 175.184mph mile and 181.563mph 1.25mile.
Paul Davis went 172.301mph and 171.877mph in the Lakester GR01.
Peter Smith was along again in his 1968 MK2 Jaguar running impressive 120.761mph mile and 123.992mph 1.25mile.
