 Another superb weekend of racing with new 5sec club members and a bunch of Personal Bests.

  Mark Flavell had done some prep on the track during the week over the first 100foot which seemed to pay dividends.

 It was nice to see an 8 bike field of Nostalgia Pro Stock bikes along, Rod Spry posting his first 5sec run and backing it up, eventually beating Richard Peachy to win the class. Of note in the class was Patrick Hodgkiss making progress running a string of 5s and a new PB.

  In 6sec class Chris Hodgson beat Carl Mountford out on his Kawasaki ZX10R for the first time.

  Junior Sprint car saw Dexter Wilson beat Jude Elliott, Dexter having put down a new PB over the weekend to the delight of the team.

  Straightliners No Mercy bikes had a 22 bike field. Phil Wood had some epic battles along the way, most spent with the front wheel hovering above the track eventually making the final beating Damien Hope and Phil Tomlinson along the way. Terry Mountford pushed Nigel Stott into a breakout and then got a bye into the final Terry cutting a decent reaction time to just get the front wheel across the stripe ahead of Phil.

  Juniors had Toby Jackson beat Maisie Thornton to match up with Alfie Barraclough in the final Alfie just getting across the stripe first, it was close.

  Scooters No Mercy Eric Cope beat Stuart McVicker to line up against Stephen Holt in the final.  Stephen got the better start and put one over on Eric.

  There was an 8 car field in Six Sixty Cars and the eliminations threw up a few surprises. In the semi’s first surprise was Bob Molden pulling a red light against Pete Lane and father and son Shaun and Andy Rounthwaite, Andy the one getting the cherry. Pete and Shaun both got cracking starts with Pete just edging Shaun at the stripe.
