No Mercy Bikes
With a 19 bike field it made for some great duels in the eliminations. Rob Briers got a bye into the final after beating Peter Slater in the previous round when Peter broke out, Peter having been lucky in the previous round crossing the line with no chain and still winning!!
Andy Higham made the final beating Nic Deighton and Rob Kneeshaw along the way. Andy had a very slight reaction time advantage and just held it all the way to the line taking a well deserved win on the smallest capacity bike.
6 Second Bikes
Carl Mountford beat Chris Hodgson in the first semi and a no show from Chris Jacobs saw Phil Tomlinson make the final. Carl got a slightly quicker time Phil quicker to the 60ft but Carl just edging Phil by the 1/2 way and taking the win, it was 5/100ths at the line!!!
Scooters No Mercy had Stephen Holt and Eric Cope make the final. Stephen was a little too keen and threw a red light handing the win to Eric.
Juniors had an ever improving Jet Jackson beaten by brother Toby and Maisie Thornton moving to the final beating Alfie Barraclough. It was so close all the way, Maisie just beating Toby with an 11.397sec run on a 11.39sec dial in!!!
Junior Sprint Car
Jude Elliott beat Charlie Wilkinson and Dexter Wilson beat Jake Little to make the final. It looked like Jude had the better of Dexter, he’d cut a quicker reaction time, but in trying for the win he broke out by 8/1000ths giving Dexter the win.
NSCC Saturday had a good 16 car field. In the semi’s Jamie Hughes beat Stephen Gilmour, and Phil Winstanley beat James Murray. Unfortunately Jamie couldn’t make the final unable to cure a persistent water leak so Phil took the win.
NSCC Sunday and this time James Murray beat Stephen Gilmour to make the final and Rob Moylan made it through after a no show from Phil Winstanley, James beating Rob in the final.
Six Sixty Cars
Bob Molden beat David Coombes to make the final against Marc Betts who got the better of Andy Rounthwaite. It was a great final with Marc giving Bob a good run to the line, Bob taking the win 0.084sec inside his dial in and Marc breaking out by 0.011sec, that’s close racing!!
American Superstock
Lee Chiles was on a bye in the semi’s having beaten Vic Parsons to line up against Andrew Bosomworth who’d beaten Tyler Smith. Lee’s quicker reaction time paid dividends with Andrew drawing close at the stripe but it was Lee who nosed over the line first to take the win.
