  WHO’D HAVE THOUGHT WHEN CHRIS AND SIMON WHO CAME UP WITH THE “TEN OF THE BEST” FORMAT IN 2002 THAT IT WOULD BE STILL BE RUNNING 24 YEARS LATER, IT TRULY HAS STOOD THE TEST OF TIME.

  Once again the competition was fierce but from the early days of 600hp and now 2000hp spoken of it was low hp modern electronics and clever thinking seeing 300hp and even normally aspirated able to take the spoils, like they say there is a more than one way to skin a cat!! By the way no cats were involved!!!!

  HANDLING CIRCUIT SHOOTOUT

  In front wheel drive it was Paul Barker who came out on top in the Renault Clio, his time 5.4sec quicker than 2nd place Anthony Edmondson in his wide body Fiat Abarth 500.

 Rear wheel drive saw Karl Wilson, Ariel Atom, 0.65sec ahead of Faisal Hussain, MSL McLaren, in 2nd.

 Four wheel drive saw the return of Adrian Smith back along to TOTB once again having competed in various Fennsport Toyota’s over the years. This year in the Toyota Yaris. The little 300hp turbo 3 cylinder 1600cc emitting a different soundtrack. His 38.917sec run just over 1sec ahead of another regular, Brian Coward, in his old school Subaru WRX.

DRAG STRIP ELIMINATIONS

  Front wheel drive saw Shaun Duthie literally smoking John Elliott in his diesel VW Golf, John putting in a great effort to see through the smoke in his Astra Van.

  Rear wheel drive went straight to final, McLaren’s locking out the top 4 spots but 2 not showing for their semi final. As it was Faisal Hussain in his MSL Performance version getting the jump on Jamie Lumley at the start to be first across the stripe.

  Four wheel drive saw George Lawton Snr, who has been to every TOTB, bring along his R32 Nissan Skyline once again lining up against Adnan Iqbal with the latest M3 BMW. It was Adnan with a rapid 1.55sec 60 foot, George’s 1.76sec not to be frowned on, who took the win.

This was the first time George had ever got a trophy, well done George well deserved.

TOP SPEED AT 1/2 MILE.

  Fastest in Front wheel drive by some margin was John Elliott, Astra Van, Aaron Scullion, Seat Leon, some 19mph slower.

 Rear wheel drive had Faisal Hussain, MSL McLaren, just shy of 200mph at 197.05mph and Farhan Hussain, McLaren, 2nd fastest.

   Four wheel drive saw Gary Dyson with the 4.1litre Nissan GTR 9mph faster than Adnan Iqbal, BMW M3.

TOTB CHAMPIONSHIP

  Topping the points table and TOTB 2026 champion was Faisal Hussain on 37 points from John Elliott 2nd on 31 points and Aaron Scullion 3rd on 28 points.

 CLUB COMPETITION

 3 teams took part in the Club competition with EVO TUNE taking top spot on 123points with CAMS 1 and CAMS 2 in 2nd and 3rd spot.
