SUNSHINE AND A TAIL WIND HELP RIDERS AND DRIVERS TO SOME FAST SPEEDS AND PERSONAL BESTS.

On the 1/4mile cars John McTaggart, BMW M3, was quickest with an 11.37sec run at 127mph. Alison Mather, all the way from Islay, put in some blistering starts in the Audi S4 and took 2nd with an 11.62sec 119mph and in 3rd Barry Sutherland, Ultima, on 11.78sec at 132mph.
Bikes 1/4 mile Peter Slater, Turbo Hayabusa, took top spot at 9.69sec at 168mph. Saturdays top 1/4miler, Scott Glen, had to settle for 2nd just 4/100ths behind Peter with a 9.73sec at 160mph, David Cleminson grabbing 3rd with 10.19sec at 159mph.
ARGYLL MILE and Barry Sutherland upped his speed to 186.314mph in the Ultima, 2nd quickest was the BMW M3 of John McTaggart with 177.331mph and 3rd Alison Mather, Audi S4, 168.313mph, Alison being awarded a trophy for fastest lady, much to her surprise.
Bikes and Peter Slater put down a new personal best on his Turbo Hayabusa tantalisingly close to 250mph with a 249.054mph run, his 250mph run will have to wait another day as he had machine problems on his last run.
Another delighted rider, Scott Glen, also posted a new personal best with 219.817mph on his H2 Kawasaki, David Cleminson’s 215.475mph, Turbo Hayabusa, good enough for 3rd spot.
