Speeds for Elvington, Mon 24th March 2025
Conditions were perfect for the first Top Speed Monday of 2025 with 14 competitors and a good crowd of spectators.
Jack Frost was fastest on the day with 260.995mph at the mile and 257.229mph at the 1.25mile. Guy Martin rode Jack’s bike to 249.738mph at the mile and 253.876mph at the 1.25mile. Guy was along testing various mods on his own bike in naked trim and was happy with 223.822mph at the mile and 227.007mph at the 1.25mile.
Mark Graham was the only other rider to break the 200mph barrier with 201.520mph at the mile and 203.611mph at the 1.25mile.
Simon Naylor ran 176.157mph and 177.910mph first time out on his MT10 Yamaha with underslung turbo conversion.
Dave Ward had brought along a couple 1990’s classics, a Honda Blackbird and ZZR1100 Kawasaki putting in the most runs on the day.
Amy Wolstenholme improved on her previous best by 19mph riding a Yamaha R1 which she had been lent, Amy is without doubt one of our rising young talents.
Dodge was back to his old self with some impressive wheelies, his best at 190.885mph.
Stephen Banfield was fastest of the cars with 188.231mph mile and 192.869mph 1.25mile in his DBS Aston Martin.
Tim Webster impressed with the rapid acceleration from the start in his Electric Porsche Taycan, 188.744mph at the mile and 188.843mph 1.25mile.
First timers Oliver Sales, Alfa Romeo, and Shaun McCluskey, Lamborghini, enjoyed their first experience, Oliver going to come back for more with an upgrade on the Alfa to improve on his 177mph best.
