WEATHER TRIED IT’S BEST TO SPOIL SUNDAYS ELIMINATIONS BUT PERSEVERANCE PAID OFF.
NO MERCY SHOOTOUT BIKES
With no shows in round 1 Peter Slater riding a stock Hayabusa, which he rode for the first time on Sunday morning, went straight to semi final against Max Thornton who did the same. Carl Mountford made it through to the final beating Simon Mountford in the quarter and then getting a bye. Max did a great job in his first ever semi forcing Peter into a red light.
Come the final Max had the bit between his teeth and gave Carl a good run Carl taking the win and Max breaking out.
SCOOTER NO MERCY
The final saw Eric Cope against Stephen Holt both on 8sec dial ins so it was a heads up race with Stephen getting the verdict with a near perfect 8.07sec run.
JUNIORS
Semi’s had Jack Taylor against William Mountford, Will had been having gearchange problems but got his act together against Jack but unfortunately broke out. Second semi and Alfie Barraclough was against Arron Gregory both breaking out but Arron by the least amount so lined up against Jack in the final. Jack was on top of his game posting a perfect time Arron doing the breaking out so Jack took the win and the bonus points.
JUNIOR SPRINT CAR
Jude Elliott was up against Dexter Wilson in the final.
Jude got a great start as did Dexter but the motor stumbled just before the 60foot mark and lost him enough time for Jude to take the win.
Ade Horrocks “GREENLIGHT SCOOTERS SHOOTOUT ”
saw some first time riders taking part. Jim Eastwood and Kayle Stephens making their first ever finals and what final both riders away well on the greens and both breaking out the verdict going to Jim just 0.02secs the winning margin.
6 SEC BIKES
Chris Hodgson beat Maxine Taylor in the first semi Ashley Hodgson, no relation, through with a no show from Ian Wicks on his smoking BMW. Ashley’s bike holding together but Chris taking the win.
