NO MERCY SHOOTOUT had a 13 bike field. In the semi’s Ashley Hodgson won against Phil Thomlinson, both riders going under their dial ins a strong tailwind the likely culprit, but Ashley breaking out by the least amount.

2nd semi and the same thing happened between Terry Mountford and Peter Slater this time Terry getting the verdict.

The final had Terry and Ashley on the same 6.41sec dial in so it was a straight fight for the win. Ashley got a perfect 6.41sec run but Terry was fractionally quicker as the green came on and crossed the stripe first for a well deserved first win, he was well chuffed.

JUNIORS once again saw some wind assisted breakouts in the quarters. In the semi’s Maisie Thornton beat Alfie Barraclough to make her first final appearance, Jack Taylor wrestling the other final place from William Mountford, Jack just 2/100ths from a perfect time. In the final Maisie was quick away on her green with Jack uncharacteristically messing up on his green, Maisie taking her first win. Later in the day racing alongside brother Max she improved on her days best 12.70sec with a stunning 12.09sec, Max also spurred on to his best of the day.

SCOOTER SHOOTOUT breakouts in the quarters eliminated Amy Wolstenholme and Stuart McVicker then in the semi’s Paul Gurney beat Kyle Stephens at the second attempt Kyle having run out of fuel on the startline!!! Eric through to the final on a bye, Eric taking the win.

6.00SEC CLASS with an 8 bike field semi’s saw Peter Slater beat Ashley Hodgson, and Chris Hodgson, no relation, beat Jamie Brooks. Chris and Peter cut perfect greens but Peter slowed at 1/2 distance while neck and neck with Chris so Chris got the verdict.

JUNIOR SPRINT CAR Bradley Brook took the first semi him and Toby Jackson both breaking out, Bradley by the least amount. Bradley then lined up against Dexter Wilson, Dexter taking the win, Bradley having his turn breaking out.

PRO ET with Andy Rounthwaite up against Bob Molden, Andy needed to pull something out of the bag to beat Bob. Sadly for Andy it was a red light so Bob took Pro ET.
