Times for Ramsey Sprint, Mon 3rd June 2024

BIG CROWDS AND LARGE ENTRY FOR RAMSEY SPRINT.

Sunny weather and perfect conditions drew the usual massive crowd to watch the famous RAMSEY SPRINT.
Largest class was Street Legal Unlimited cc which saw Craig Robertson take top honours on his Yamaha V Max, the only rider to drop under 7secs with a 6.92sec winning run. 2nd place went to Paul Houghton, he and Mathieu Devaulx both on 7.04sec, so it was speed deciding 2nd spot with Paul on 113mph and Mathieu 105mph.
Street Legal up to 600cc had Ash Gibson take top spot. 2nd was hard fought with Steph Eastwood moving up the order with her last couple of runs to displace Liam Ashton. Steph also taking the Fastest Lady award.
Street Legal up to 900cc gave Adrian Smith the winners 3 legs of Man with Stephen Smith in 2nd.
Graham Eastwood, uncle of Steph, took Classic honours on his Barn Find CBX, which is still a work in progress.
Winner of Sidecar Class was a delighted Dave Langley.
In Supersport it was Peter Slater on his “Do Everything ” turbo Busa. Peter a regular 5sec runner at MELBOURNE RACEWAY couldn’t repeat on the RAMSEY SPRINT course but he was certainly trying hard. This is a street legal bike that Peter arrived on the night before and also used for Top Speed events where he has topped 230mph on the 1.25mile.
Competition Unlimited was won by Phil Wood, the only rider to break into the 5s. Mark Patman, Pennybridge Campsite, in 2nd spot, Phil also getting the FTD award.
Junior honours went to William Dickinson.
Finally a young mans dream was realised when 6 year old Harlen Jones got his first taste of running on the RAMSEY SPRINT  course on his little electric KTM bike, “Mummy today was the greatest day of my life” was the way he summed up his experience.
