Times for Ramsey Sprint, Thu 6th June 2024

“ANOTHER GREAT DAY OF COMPETITION AT THURSDAY’S RAMSEY SPRINT ”

Gary Leach took Competition Class on the Harley Destroyer with a 6.57sec best.
In Sidecar a delighted Arkadiusz Jurczyk got his winners 3 legs trophy.
Ralph Wellings on his Classic Z900 Kawasaki took the class honours. In the same Classic class 3 riders shared the rare 70 year old Moto Moretti 250 for a bit of a challenge, Dave Taylor quickest on 13.22sec, Graham Sykes managing 14.05sec and owner Shaun Walker 14.21sec.
Road Legal up to 400cc saw Tom Potter winning, sharing a 300cc Husqvarna with Geoff Jones.
Road Legal 600cc had Sergio Moreno, all the way from Mexico, took top spot on his CBR600RR.
Road Legal up to 1000cc had the biggest entry with eventual winner being Paul Houghton on his GSXR1000 the only rider under 7sec with a 6.96sec at 116mph.
Gary Clarke held top spot right from the off in 900cc Road Legal winning with a 7.69sec on his 750GSXR.
Unlimited cc Road Legal and Michael Prout stepped out of his cooking role in the burger van to run a 7.30sec at 99mph to edge out Alan McCarthy on a 7.38sec at 102mph, a popular win for Michael.
Modified Road and Phil Wood put in a string of 5sec runs, 5.84sec his winning time just 0.01sec slower than on Monday. Once again Peter Slater tried hard for a 5sec run coming up short by 0.03sec, 6.02sec his hard fought best.
In Juniors Rafe Sloane eventually grabbed number one slot from Reggie Thompson.
