If you know, you know! If not and you are mad about bikes but can't afford to go racing, this is for you. Drag Racing is not just about going in a straight line, if it was, everyone would be doing it that's a fact, and not just doing it, winning at it too! Drag Racing is one of the oldest forms of racing, it's fast paced and more addictive than you know.
The Straightliners Championship is a grass-roots Drag-racing series run every year by Straightliners and has been for decades. The event has allowed racers to not only access this type of event, which used to be incredibly difficult to do, but has allowed many riders to grow and develop the skill required to compete at top speed events and set many records.
The SLC is open to anyone at any level and also supports some very young riders, some as young as 9 years old, teaching them the skills required to become a successful Drag Racer.
Our championship offers classes for all riders and abilities to compete and offering entry at an extremely affordable cost. All the help, support and assistance anyone would need can be accessed through Straightliners and the friendly, close-net community.
The Straightliners Champoinship is for anyone who wishes to have a go at a 1/2 mile top speed either on a bike or in a car. If you've never done any Top Speed events before, it's a great way to start before trying the mile. It gives you a lot more braking area.
For bikers, 1 piece leathers and back protector are a must, with leather boots, gloves and a gold ACU stickered helmet.
For car drivers, a helmet is required and legs and arms must be covered.
An ACU/IOPD licence is required for some events and can be purchased here
